Our Story
Built Right.
Done Steady.
A Carroll County company built on honest work and respect for people.
Hwy 70 started with a belief — that work should be steady, that details matter, and that people deserve to be treated with respect in their own homes.
We're a new company, built to feel familiar and rooted here in Carroll County. We don't rush. We don't cut corners. We listen. We take care with the work and we do things the right way.
Built to last. Just getting started.
We treat people with dignity.
We listen with understanding.
We work with rhythm — steady and focused.
We care about craftsmanship, down to the details.
We make decisions with our community in mind.
These aren't words on a wall. They're how we work.
If we ever stop living them, then we're no longer Hwy 70.
Our Leadership
Al Roney
President & Co-Owner — TN GC License #86145
Al is the President of Hwy 70 Construction & Home Repair and holds the company's Tennessee General Contractor license. He brings structured execution, safety awareness, and disciplined project management from years leading technical teams in large-scale shipyard environments.
On every project, Al oversees layout, build quality, sequencing, and day-to-day execution. He ensures the work is done the right way — not just completed.
He sets the tone in the field: steady, focused, and accountable. If something isn't right, it gets fixed.
Jeremy James
Managing Director & Co-Owner
Jeremy is the Managing Director of Hwy 70 Construction & Home Repair. He previously led facilities, construction, and maintenance teams in demanding environments where steady work and attention to detail were non-negotiable.
His role is to set the pace, hold the standard, and protect the reputation of the work — scope, pricing, customer communication, and ensuring every job reflects what Hwy 70 stands for.
This company is personal work for him, built in Carroll County.
