What's the difference between Bellastone and regular tile?
Bellastone is a multi-layer acrylic panel system that looks like marble or tile but installs as large seamless sheets. There are no grout lines to clean or re-seal, it's waterproof, and most jobs are done in a day. Traditional tile costs more, takes longer, and requires ongoing grout maintenance — but some homeowners prefer the look and feel of real tile. We offer both and will give you an honest comparison for your specific bathroom.
How long does a bath remodel take?
A Bellastone wall system on an existing shower or tub surround is typically a one-day install. Custom tile work usually runs two to three days depending on scope. If demo reveals unexpected issues — damaged backer board, subfloor problems, old waterproofing that needs to be replaced — we'll let you know before proceeding and give you options.
Can you do a tub-to-shower conversion?
Yes. We handle the full conversion — removing the tub, prepping the space, installing the new shower base or pan, and finishing the walls with either Bellastone or tile. If plumbing modifications are needed we'll let you know up front.
Do I need to leave the house during the work?
No. Most bath remodel work is contained to one bathroom. You can go about your day. We'll let you know if anything comes up that changes that.
My shower walls have water damage behind them. Can you handle that?
That's one of the most common things we find once demo starts. If there's damaged drywall, backer board, or framing behind the walls, we repair it before installing the new surface. We don't cover up problems — we fix them first. Any discovered damage beyond the original scope gets communicated to you before we proceed.
What style options does Bellastone come in?
Quite a few. The Classic Marble & Stone series includes patterns like Venatino, Calcutta, Carrara, Limestone, Sandstone, Tuscan Marble, and more. The Illusions series adds grooved tile patterns — subway, herringbone, hexagon, 12x24 vertical — over those stone backgrounds. There's also Classic White in several tile formats. We can walk you through the options or bring samples to your home.
Do you offer a warranty on bath remodel work?
Yes. Hwy 70 provides a one-year workmanship warranty on all completed work. Bellastone products carry manufacturer warranties on materials. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right.
